Growth Entrepreneurs enrol for EYB
More and more growth oriented entrepreneurs are enrolling for
the EYB programme in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Uganda since the programme
launch end of 2003.By the end of 2005 more than 400 business
people had enrolled, with the majority having already completed
the interventions while the rest are at various stages of completion.
Those who have gone through the programme are forever grateful
they did. They are realising positive changes in business performance,
sales and profitability within a few months of enrolling for
EYB. And they are all happy and prepared to share these benefits

EYB Assists Entrepreneurs to
Increase Sales and Profits
Results of the EYB preliminary assessment conducted in December
2003 are out. Overall, they show a very high satisfaction
by participants with the programme (over 80%). Some of the
main highlights are:
80% of the GOEs realised
growth (measured against developed indicators within 6 months
of completing the EYB programme
38% of the GOEs increased sales growth
by more than 50% within 6 months of training
51% of the GOEs increase profits by
more than 25% within 6 months of training.

EYB in Aggressive promotion in all countries The EYB Country programmes are implementing
a number of targeted marketing and national promotional activities
in the 3 project countries. The objective is to allow more
growth businesses in the countries to benefit from the programme.
Some of the activities being implemented are
Working with and accessing database members
of business associations an chamber of Commerce and organising
EYB promotional meetings form them
National promotional activities through newspapers,
radio, TV and business publications
Referrals from partners in the programme
including finance and business linkage partners.
Why Enrol for EYB ?
The EYB programme has a growth

different components of the programme is growth of the business.
This is measured in terms of an increase in sales turnover,
market share, profits, and, most importantly, Return on
Investment (RoI). The EYB programme provides entrepreneurs
